What started as curiosity for Smokin’ Joe's, has grown into a business that makes thousands of people smile each year. A jerky lover himself, Joe started experimenting in the 90's with recipes and processes to make jerky that was a cut above the rest. As a result, Joe discovered a mouth-watering recipe and started sharing with friends.

Soon the jerky business was born. Smokin’ Joe’s products started showing up at sports shows and small venues. Then, the Minnesota State Fair got a taste of the jerky and invited Joe to bring his jerky to the Fair. Smokin’ Joe’s Smokehouse has become a mainstay ever since.
